ESTABLISHMENT AND RESUMPTION OF PLOT BOUNDARIES
Accurate determination of property boundaries is essential, especially when we intend to fence our property or start construction but are unsure about the boundary line. According to the Geodetic and Cartographic Law, to re-establish boundary points, one must possess the appropriate geodetic qualifications. The process of re-establishing boundaries must be preceded by a thorough examination and analysis of the available documentation regarding the boundaries to be renewed. In situations where such documentation is absent or insufficient to re-establish boundary markers, a property division procedure must be conducted for sections of boundaries where there are no documents unequivocally defining the original location of boundary markers.
The employees of GEOBIZ have carried out numerous re-establishment and division procedures in various counties and provinces. This experience has equipped us with the ability to analyze documentation from different historical periods, which has shaped boundary documentation differently in each region. Additionally, we have our own mini-excavator, which significantly speeds up and at times is even essential for locating markers or boundary traces when boundary documents have been lost or are incomplete. Our experience and technical resources give us an advantage over other companies, and there have been instances where, while others threw up their hands and refused to take on the assignment, we successfully identified and located old boundary markers.
The timeline for re-establishing boundaries primarily depends on the size of the property whose boundaries will be renewed and the number of boundary points to be re-established. The type and quality of documentation regarding these boundaries, stored in the geodetic resource, as well as the time required for preparing these materials by employees of the County Geodetic and Cartographic Documentation Centers, are also significant factors. Typically, the completion time for such an assignment ranges from two to six weeks from the date of order acceptance.
